Dennis R. Karr, age 54 of Hamilton, passed away at Regency at Deaconess, Cincinnati, Ohio on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 11:19 AM. He was born in Hamilton on October 31, 1952 the son of the late William Kenneth and Betty (King) Karr. Dennis was employed as transportation director at Serve City. A giving person, Dennis volunteered with many organizations to help the homeless.
He is survived by three daughters, Amanda (Neshawn) Roland, Amber Mercer, and Denise (Joe) Roark all of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Kymora Roland and Alexis Mercer; two brothers, Kenneth Karr of Hamilton and Johnny (Sissy) Karr of Alabama; and three sisters, Debbie Freytag of Hamilton, Carolyn (Billy) Shelton and Sherry (Hyo) Peck both of Florida; stepsister Linda Parks of Hamilton; several nieces and nephews, including Billy (Rachel) Karr, Roger Karr, Kenny Karr Jr., and Christina Phillips; an aunt, Norma (Walter) Smith of Ohio; an uncle John (Betty) Karr of Kentucky; and many friends at New Life Vineyard Church. Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday April 14th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ken Ritz of New Life Vineyard Church officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Serve City.
