Dennis Lee Rogers

Dennis Lee Rogers, age 54 of Somerville passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 6:18 AM. He was born in Hamilton on August 7, 1955 the son of William and Marjorie (Hunt) Rogers. Dennis was employed as a laborer at Rogers Fix It. On December 9, 1989 in Kettering, Ohio he married Barbara Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rogers of Somerville; a son, Dennis Lee "Boo" (Misty) Rogers of West Elkton; a daughter, Christina Rickard of Camden; his mother, Marjorie Rogers of Camden; a stepson, Brian (Stephanie) Gambrell of Camden; six grandchildren, Brittany Rickard, Kerria Rickard, Kyle Fields, Matthew Gambrell, Andrew Gambrell, and Kayla Rogers; six brothers, William (Karen) Rogers of Eaton, Wayne (Cathy) Rogers of Okeana, Indiana, Donald (Lisa) Rogers of Hamilton, Phillip Lynn Rogers of Middletown, James (Pat) Rogers of Jacksonburg, Ohio, and Michael (Lisa) Rogers of Camden; his mother-in-law, Betty Goodwin of Middletown; four devoted nieces and nephews, Russell (Alana) Matheny and their son Noah of Somerville, Kyle (Amanda) Matheny of Hamilton, Aundrea Matheny, and Sarah Matheny, both of Dayton; and many other special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Rogers; a stepson, Daniel Gambrell; a sister, Diana Rogers; and his father-in-law, Myron Goodwin.

Funeral service will be held at the Northside Chapel First Church of God, 6820 North Main Street, Camden, Ohio 45311 on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wade Crosby, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in West Elkton Fairmound Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
