Denver Gray

GRAY, Denver, age 77, of Maineville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 doing what he loved, Judo, surrounded by his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Addie Gray, siblings Dennis, Daisy, and Delbert. Denver was a retired Hamilton City firefighter, Judo Sensei with a 6th degree black belt, veteran, an avid traveler, story teller, genealogy addict. He is survived by his wife, Maya, children, Janet (Jeff) Hogden, John (Krista) Gray, and Gary (Jane) Khaytin his grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, Beatrice (Tim) Dunaway and family from around the world, both by blood and by friendship.

Funeral will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that monetary donations be made in his honor for the Sensei Denver Gray Memorial Youth Scholarship at the Budokai Judo Club.
