Dessie J. Bell

Dessie J. Bell, age 70 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. She was born in Clay City, Kentucky on October 26, 1939 the daughter of Eldon and Ruby (Bush) Ball. Dessie retired from Blackhawk Automotive. She was a member of the Hamilton Moose Lodge, and loved playing golf with her friends from the Ladies Golf League there. Dessie was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

She is survived by two children, Vickie (Clarence) Howard and Richard (Kari) Feltner; five grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon) Turco, Shaun (Brandi) Howard, Adam (Melanie) Howard, Brian Weiss, and Russell Feltner; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel (James) Durham and Pamela Ball; three brothers, Ronald Ball, Eldon Jr. (Celeste) Ball, and Harold (Chuck Bowles) Ball; and special friends Ray and Connie Mann and Steve and Irene Pinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Russell D. Feltner; brother, Kenneth Ball; sister, Virginia Ball; friend and companion Jack Johnson; and special sister-in-law Marilyn "Micky" Ball.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Don Hooker of Serenity Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
