Diana Lynn Payne

Diana Lynn Payne, age 60 of Hamilton went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 2:40 PM. She was born in Hamilton on October 9, 1949 the daughter of Jack Sr. and Juanita (Harper) Sloan. Diana was employed as an electrician/journeyman at Ford Motor Company for thirty years.

She is survived by a son, Geoffrey (Dianna) Payne of Colerain Township; two daughters, Valita (Matt) Hurst and Candida Smith, both of Trenton; five grandchildren, Robert Stang, Geoffrey Payne, Nathen Payne, Makaela Hurst, and Peyton Smith; a sister, Valencia Gray of Trenton; a special friend, Mike Rostkowski of Williamsburg, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James D. Payne; two brothers, Othar "Larry" Sloan and Jack Sloan Jr.; a sister-in-law, Carol Sloan; and a special aunt, Joann Harper.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
