Diana (Norris) Wood, a loving wife of 35 years to Jack Wood, mother, mamaw and friend to many died May 6, 2007. She was a caring and compassionate person who loved her family. She had a very distinctive laugh; you could pick her out of a crowd. Diana volunteered for ten years, from 1987 to 1997, for the St. Clair New Miami Life Squad.
Diana was born on June 8, 1956 in Hamilton to Virgil and Bessie (Thomas) Norris. In Hamilton on June 14, 1972 she married Jack Wood.
She is survived by her husband Jack Wood of New Miami; son Rodney Wood and his wife Nikki; daughter Jaclyn Grubb and her husband Bryan; four grandchildren, Rodney and Dylan Wood, and Deseray and Charles Grubb; brother, John; sister, Beverly; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. Diana was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Randy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
