Dixie Marie Reynolds

Dixie Marie Reynolds, age 78 of Hamilton went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 1:40 PM. She was born in Keavy, Kentucky on June 8, 1932 the daughter of Fermin and Effie (Parker) Miller. Dixie retired from Golden Years Nursing Home in 1978. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by ten children, Carma (Howard) Meeks, Linda (Walter Hurley) Reynolds, James (Carol) Reynolds, all of Hamilton, Wanda (Randy) Neanover of Oxford, Barb (Tim) McClanahan, Pam Reynolds, both of Hamilton, Jerry (Crystal Taylor) Reynolds of Seven Mile, Carl (Susie) Reynolds, Raymond (Jamie) Reynolds, and Christy (Shawn) Templeton, all of Hamilton; four brothers, Doyle Miller, Paul Miller, and Rev. Roger Miller, all of Corbin, Kentucky, and Bob Miller of London, Kentucky; five sisters, Betty Lewis of Hamilton, Sylvania Romine of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Velear Messer, Ruby Lanham, both of Corbin, Kentucky, and Judy Ruper of West Virginia; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Eugene Reynolds; three brothers, Louie, Lowell, and Billie Miller; and a sister, Margie Parman.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Paul Marcum of Fellowship Christian Center officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to thank her granddaughter Heather Reynolds for being her caregiver for over 20 years and the Knolls of Oxford Home Health Care.
