Dolores D. "Deo" Sizelove

Dolores D. "Deo" Sizelove, age 81 of Burnside, Kentucky passed away at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 6:30 AM. She was born in Vicco, Kentucky on August 13, 1928 the daughter of Ambrose and Alma (Combs) Deaton. Mrs. Sizelove was a former mayor of Burnside, Kentucky and served several years on Burnside City Council. She retired from Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where she was Credit and Collections Manager. Mrs. Sizelove was the owner of Deo’s Beauty Salon in Hamilton for many years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose humor, wisdom, and kindness will be greatly missed by her family. Mrs. Sizelove was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching Cincinnati Bengals football, Cincinnati Reds baseball and UK basketball. On June 2, 1956 in Hamilton she married Robert Ray Sizelove, and he preceded her in death in 1960.

She is survived by a daughter, Robin (Jerry) Floyd of Somerset, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Amanda Floyd (Drew Bruce) of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; a grandson, Robert Floyd of Somerset, Kentucky; great-granddaughters, Chloe Gray and Andrea Bruce of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; a brother, Harry Deaton of Fairfield; and many special nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Elbert and Charles Deaton; and sisters Opsie Combs and Edith Skjoldager.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in New London Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Sizelove enjoyed the friendship, caring, and concern of many close friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank them for all of their calls, prayers, and thoughtfulness during her illness.
