Donald Engel

Donald Eugene Engel, age 72 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021. Known to most as Don, he was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 15, 1948 to the late Clarence and Emma Elizabeth (Schrader) Engel. Don graduated from Garfield High School and went on to enlist in the U.S. Navy. During his time in the Navy, he served aboard the U.S.S. Goldborough (DDG-20) during the Vietnam War. He later served as an instructor at the Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes in Chicago. After his naval career, he went to work at Marquette Electronics as a medical electronic technician. Don enjoyed spending time with his family.

Don is survived by his children, Bridgett Crank and Steven (Tammy) Maxwell; his grandchildren, Dana Crank and Noah Crank; his sisters, Doris (Bill) Kramer and Jeanette Robinson; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his sister, Lois (Charles) Reynolds.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM until the time of his Memorial Service at 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio.
