Donald L. Fritsch

Donald L. Fritsch, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away at Mercy Hospital--Fairfield on Monday, December 4, 2017. Donald was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 22, 1937 to Louis Fritsch and Rose (Lay) Fritsch. On September 9, 1961 in Hamilton, he married Peggy Baker. He worked and retired from Diebold after working for 35 years. Donald enjoyed coaching his children’s youth little pro football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. He graduated from University of Dayton, and loved his Flyer’s Basketball. Donald also enjoyed playing golf. Donald was also a Fourth Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus.

Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Fritsch; his children, Donna Hubbard, Richard Fritsch, Kathleen (Mike) Herald, Douglas Fritsch; 3 grandchildren, Keith (Alysse Dambach) Hubbard, Christopher Hubbard, and Shanna Hubbard; his siblings, Elizabeth McGrath, Thomas (Mary) Fritsch, Marcia (O.A.) Melton, Stephen (Maureen) Fritsch. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Frank Fritsch.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield, Ohio, on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp of Sacred Heart Catholic Church celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. Memorial contributions can be made to the Knights of Columbus #968 Education Fund or The Maureen L. Fritsch Cancer Assistance Fund.
