Donald E. Fuerst

Donald E. Fuerst, age 89 of Cincinnati, passed away at Hospice of Blue Ash on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:00PM. He was born in Hamilton on February 15, 1925 to Martin and Frieda (Gross) Fuerst. Donald was employed at Hamilton Tool for 35 years retiring in 1989. He was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1941-1945. Donald enjoyed gardening, and loved to go dancing. He loved the outdoors, especially going camping and boating. He was married to his loving wife of 58 years Dorothy Fuerst, and she preceded him in death in May of 2005.

He is survived by three children; Tom (Andrea) Fuerst, of Ross, Kathy Messer, of Hamilton, and Daniel Fuerst, of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Joe Messer, Christopher Fuerst, and Sarah Fuerst; one great grandchild, Ashley Smith; one great-great grand daughter, Jaidyn; one sister, Ruth Schlbach; and loving pet, Hershey. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother Clifford Fuerst.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 12noon. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 11AM-12noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Veterans Hospital of Cincinnati, and Hospice of Cincinnati.
