Donald Stephen Rogers

May 19, 1968 — January 30, 2026

Jacksonville

Donald Stephen Rogers, age 57, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida, after a brave three-year journey with pancreatic cancer. Through countless treatments and surgeries, Donald faced each day with quiet strength, a hopeful heart, and a determination to live life fully.

Donald was born on May 19, 1968, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Leroy Rogers and Barbara (Church) Ladden. He attended Hamilton City Schools and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1986. A lifelong learner, Donald continued his education at Sinclair Community College, earning a degree as a Maintenance Technician and Tool and Die specialist; D. Russell Lee Technical College, where he received his Welding Certification; and Georgia Southern University, where he earned a degree in Management and Leadership. He also proudly obtained many additional certifications throughout his career.

Donald spent his working years in many roles, always giving his best wherever he was. His final place of employment was Grantex Inc., where he served as Superintendent and was respected for his dedication and leadership.

Donald recently became engaged to Ana Salinas, who brought joy, comfort, and love into his life. With Ana by his side, Donald’s smile never faded. Though their time together was far too short, Ana cared for Donald with deep devotion until his final breath — a beautiful example of love, compassion, and faithfulness through sickness and health.

Above all else, Donald’s greatest joy was being a father to his only child, Adrianna Rogers. He was also blessed to become a proud “Papaw” to his first grandson, Zayden Marchant. Donald cherished the precious time he spent with Zayden during the first five months of his life, filling those moments with love, laughter, and endless spoiling.

Donald treasured time with family and friends. He found peace in the outdoors and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and hiking. He enjoyed traveling, discovering new places, and cheering on his favorite baseball and football teams. Donald was involved in several organizations, including NWTF and Whitetails Unlimited. His heart for helping others — especially children — was evident in the way he lived his life and cared for those around him.

Donald is lovingly remembered by his mother, Barbara (Church) Ladden; daughter, Adrianna Rogers; grandson, Zayden Marchant; half-brother, Roy Lee Rogers; half-sisters, Tina (Creach) Smiley and Brenda (Rogers) Fangman; and his fiancée, Ana Salinas. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Donald was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Rogers; grandparents Charley Rogers and Tina Eva (Powell) Rogers, and George Church Jr. and Betty (Moore) Golden.
