Donald A. Witt, age 78 of Fairfield, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 2:23 PM. He was born in Hamilton on October 28, 1938 the son of Robert and Mallie (Burns) Witt. Donald was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958 and was employed as a tool and die maker for General Motors for thirty-two years, retiring in 1999. On August 15, 1958 in Hamilton he married Phyllis Parker. Donald was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God, the Eagles Lodge #3986, Monkey’s MMAS, and the Washington Masonic Lodge. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

He was a loving man who will be sadly missed by his wife, Phyllis Witt of Fairfield; one son, Donny (Amy) Witt of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Andrew and Brittany Witt, both of Hamilton; one great granddaughter, Madisyn; two sisters-in-law, Pamela (John) Hudson of Hamilton and Carol (Jim) Downey of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one brother-in-law, Jim (Ruth) Parker of Springhill, Tennessee; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Carl, Robert, Mary Lou, and Dorothy; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Norma Parker; and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Thomas.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, January 21, 2016 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Rick Witt of Faith Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com
