Donna Louise Barrett

Donna Louise Barrett, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away surrounded by family at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Donna was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 7, 1946 to Tracy and Marie (Horn) Chaney. She graduated from New Miami High School. Donna retired from Couch’s Market after many years. On September 30, 1999, Donna married Mike Barrett. She was an avid Bengals fan and above all, enjoyed time with her granddaughters.

Donna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dena Ball; her step-daughter, Jenni Barrett; her granddaughters, Kayla (Jordan) Leonard, Kaitlin (fiancé, Jacob Brown) Ball, Karly (Jacob) Kriete, Kelsey Ball and Rosalynn; her great granddaughter, Khloe Kriete and one on the way; her siblings, Theresa (the late Gerald) Batdorf, Tracy (Lisa) Chaney and Ed (Jenny) Chaney; her brother-in-law, Terry Spurlock; and many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Tracy and Marie Chaney; her husband of 19 years, Michael Barrett; and her sisters, Linda Chaney and Georgetta Spurlock.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Michael Ball officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Bible Way Missionary Baptist Church – Youth Camp.
