Donna Faye Defazio

Donna Faye DeFazio, age 64 of Hamilton, passed away at UC West Chester Hospital on Monday, August 14, 2017. Donna was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 26, 1953 to Henry Eleton and Ersley (Day) Eleton. On September 20, 1974 in Hamilton, she married David P. DeFazio. Her and David served in Ministry in Willow, Alaska for 3 years. Donna worked as an Associate Office Manager at Prudential Insurance Company; she also worked as a Deputy Treasurer at the Butler County Treasurer’s Office; she worked as Executive Secretary at the Butler County Republican Party; and most recently as Executive Asst. to the Director at the Butler County Board of Elections. Donna was a Kentucky Colonel; the first female trustee at Hamilton Christian Center; and also served on many community committees, including Second Vice President of the Butler County Republican Women’s Club. She was very patriotic, loved to travel, especially to the beach; spending time with her family; reading and shopping, especially for shoes. Her life motto was "In all I do, do it as though I’m doing it unto the Lord."

Donna is survived by her husband, David P. DeFazio; her greatest accomplishments, two daughters, Heather (Kevin) Drinan, Holly DeFazio; her sisters, Ruth (Bob) Madden and Reba Schmidt; her sister in law, Norma Eleton; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Ersley Eleton and Henry Eleton, and one brother Zethel Eleton.

Funeral service will be held at Hamilton Christian Center, 1940 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Johnny Wade Sloan of Hamilton Christian Center officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hamilton Christian Center. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hosptial. www.browndawsonflick.com
