Donnie Lester Scott

Donnie Lester Scott, age 30 of Trenton passed away at Jewish Hospital Kenwood on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 10:50 PM. He was born in Hamilton on November 20, 1978 the son of Don Scott and Liz Gibson. Donnie was employed as a firefighter for St. Clair Township Fire Department. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #501, the St. Clair Township Fire Association, and the Western Hills Baptist Church. On July 8, 2005 in Somerville he married Lesley Maggard.

He is survived by his wife, Lesley Scott of Trenton; a daughter, Alexis Scott of Trenton; three sons, Brady Scott Welch of Hamilton, Austin Scott and Anthony Scott, both of Trenton; his mother and her husband, Liz and Michael Gibson of Somerville; his father, Don Scott of Hollyhill, South Carolina; two brothers, Jessie (Erica) Scott and their son Paxton of Trenton, and David Scott of Middletown; his grandparents, Palmer and Mary Ledford of Somerville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Rhoda Maggard of Franklin, Ohio; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Michael Striet.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Kenneth Cheek, minister officiating. Burial will follow at Simonson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations may be directed to the Donnie Scott benefit fund at any First Financial Bank branch.
