Dora "Dodie" Lee Webb

Dora "Dodie" Lee Webb, age 72, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. She was born October 15, 1937 in Oxford, Ohio the daughter of Bessie Pauline (Lowe) and Robert Wolfe. Dora resided in the home in which she had spent her childhood. She was a graduate of McGuffey High School, and attended Miami University and Ohio State. Dora received her nursing home administrator’s license and for many years was the administrator of Woodland Country Manor. Early in her career she was recognized by the governor of the state for the excellence of her work. She was a consultant for Woodland Country Manor and the Friendly Nursing Home in Germantown, Ohio. Her concern for the elderly provided a soothing and peaceful presence for the residents. Dora was very proud of her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments and was their most avid fan. She was devoted to her family and was the center of all family celebrations. Well-known for her cooking expertise, she always had an open door and a welcome for her family and their friends, whether for a spontaneous meal or a time to share laughter, concern or tears. She enjoyed and looked forward to holidays and family traditions, and was especially proud of her complete collection of the Barker Family Christmas ornaments.

She is survived by her devoted and loving family: daughter Tiffany (Christopher) Stitt of Hamilton; son, Jason Webb of Trenton; grandchildren Ashley (Ronnie) Gray, Tyler Farmer, Megan Farmer, Megan Batt, Mariah Graves, and Hailey Webb; great-grandchildren Avry Gray and Gaige Gray; sisters Sue Stahlheber of Hamilton, Heather (Andrew) Prine of Los Angeles, California, and Diane Smith of Oxford; brothers Tony (Nancy) Wolfe of Bath, Indiana and Robert Wolfe, Jr. of Oxford; devoted cousin Jerry Dingledine; niece Jaimie Smith; nephews David (Donna) Smith and Scott Stahlheber; great-nieces Mabel and Ella Smith; and cousins, other relatives, and many lifelong and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the family plot at Oxford Cemetery.
