Doris C. "Cookie" Burch

Doris C. "Cookie" Burch, age 88 of Hamilton passed away at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 11:10 PM. She was born in Cincinnati on July 26, 1922 the daughter of Phillip and Katherine (Maphet) Cook. She was the member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses West Congregation. On April 19, 1940 in Jellico, Tennessee she was married to Gregory Burch, and he preceded her in death in 1996.

She is survived by a daughter, Janice (James) Chism; two sons, Clint Burch of Hamilton, and Craig (Vickie) Burch of Hamilton; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Phillip Burch; four brothers, Arthur, Richard, Allen, and Clinton Cook; three sisters, Ruth Logan, Catherine Hartman, and Jean Manley.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Chaplain John Love officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
