Doris L. Gay, age 84 of Hamilton, passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 1:35AM. She was born in Oxford on December 1, 1931 to Frank and Callie (Martin) Dunham. Doris was employed at Hamilton City Schools for 30 years. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her children, Kathie D. (Claude) Chaney and Stephen T. Gay, her grandchildren, Sara and Amanda, her brothers, Robert and William, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn and Helen, her brothers, Kenneth, Gerald Thomas, Edward, Gilbert, Lavelle, Donald, and her parents.
Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 12PM with Pastor Bob Hope officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 11AM-12PM at the funeral home.
