Doris "Eileen" Michaelis

Doris "Eileen" Michaelis, age 90 of Monroe, passed away at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Eileen was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 1, 1927 to Henry Hunter and Hazel (Loos) Hunter. On Sept. 21, 1946 in Covington, KY, she married Wilbur "Mike" Michaelis, and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Eileen is survived by her nephew, Lowell (Birgit) Solien; her great nephew, Eric Solien; and also several cousins. Eileen was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Hunter; her father, Henry Hunter; and her husband, Wilbur Michaelis; two sisters, Henrietta Hunter and Janet and Walt Solien.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Monroe Presbyterian Church, 57 W. Elm St., Monroe, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at Monroe Presbyterian Church, on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 9:00 AM with Rev. Jeri Baker of Monroe Presbyterian Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Monroe Presbyterian Church, Mount Pleasant Lifecare Fund, City Gospel Mission of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and Shriners Hospitals for Children.
