Age 86 of Hamilton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday November 7, 2018. She was born March 19, 1932 in Hamilton, Ohio to Charles and Oma Murphy. After the passing of her father when she was 2 years old, her mother married Wilford Murphy who raised her and was very dear to her. Doris married the love of her life, Clifford Myers on September 16, 1950 in Liberty, Indiana. They were blessed with two children Cliff DLynn and Dawana Lee. She retired from Champion International Paper after 20 years of service. She was an active member of Richmond Road Baptist Church where she served as a greeter. She will always be remembered by everyone who knew her for her ministry of sending cards. A very devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she is survived by her son, Rev. Cliff (Patty) Myers of Cincinnati, Oh., daughter Dawana (Steve) Lucas of Trenton, Oh., 4 grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Myers of Mt. Orab, Oh., Trina (Tyler) Goodbey of Cincinnati, Oh, Alyssa (Ryan)Miller of Hamilton, Oh, Dustin Lucas (his fiancé Christina Sparks and her children Madison & Mariah) of Trenton, Oh. 4 great grandchildren Alexandrea Grace Myers, Piper Dawn Godbey, Olivia Faith Myers, Hunter Ryan Miller. A niece who was like a daughter to her, Kitty (Rob) Wells, brother Ray (Yolanda) Murphy, several nieces and nephews and many close friends, including Steve Ingram who was like a son to her. Lu and Morris Shelley who was so dear to her heart. Preceding her in death were her husband Clifford Myers, Parents Charles & Oma Murphy, Wilford Murphy, sisters Bobbie Heidler, & Edna Aronold. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm with service to follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Her son Rev. Cliff Myers will be officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
