Dorothy Bowling

Dorothy Bowling, age 78 of Fairfield Twp., passed away in her residence on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 10:40 PM. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on July 28, 1928, the daughter of Robert and Nancy (Allen) Sester. Dorothy was employed as a machine operator for National Can for twenty-five years and then by Leshner’s for sixteen years retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Tylersville Road Church of God. On January 28, 1949 in Hamilton, she was married to Earl Bowling and he preceded her in death in 1996.

She is survived by one daughter; Phyllis (Lavon) Wagers of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Star (Kenny) Wagers of Hamilton, Jeffery Wagers of Hamilton, Brad Wagers of Oxford and Chad (Craselle) Wagers of Oxford; six great-grandchildren, Terence, Shawn Michael, Alexis, Austyn, Britanie and Cennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Oscar, Dewey, George and Oliver Sester and four sisters, Janie Hensley, Lucy Hensley, Amelia Biggs and Sarah Delaney.

Funeral services will be held at the Tylersville Road Church of God, 2753 Tylersville Rd., on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Richard Salyers officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday after 6:00 PM. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to Sissy, her granddaughter and caregiver for her loving care.
