Dorothy Rose Horning

Dorothy Rose Horning, age 96 of Hamilton, passed away at Mercy Hospital-Fairfield on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Dorothy was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 10, 1922 to Brownie and Minnie (Sapp) Rose. She enjoyed sitting on the porch with her neighbors, spending time with her family. Dorothy spent her summers in Michigan with her late husband, Luther Horning.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Tony (Vikki) Horning; her grandchildren, Jeremy (LeeAnne) Horning and Jessica Horning; her great grandchildren, Luther Horning and Oscar Horning. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Luther Horning; her daughter, Tammy Barnes; and her parents. The family would like to give a special thank you to her neighbors, Bev and Greg Bryant.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joe Schrock officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
