Dorothy M. Proctor

Dorothy M. Proctor, age 80 of Hamilton, passed away at the Fort Hamilton Hospital on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was born in Jeffersonville, Kentucky on May 12, 1934 to Andy and Neal (Lawson) Lewis. She was known as Mama Marie to many outside of her family. She was an excellent seamstress, quilt maker and cook. Dorothy cared about everyone and never met a stranger.

She is survived by her children Rocky R. Holland Sr. (Laura), David Holland Sr., Ken Holland (Luwana), Beth Marcum (Danny), and Donald Proctor; grandchildren Tara, Tina, Rocky II., Justin, Brooke, Summer, David Jr., Melissa, Jillian and 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouses Homer Holland and Byron Proctor, son Arnold A. Holland USMC and 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 11 AM- 12 Noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association.
