Dovie Wilson, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at Mercy Hospital on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:10AM. She was born in Knox Co, KY on July 28, 1930 to Caleb and Thelma (McDonald) Johnson. She attended Hamilton Christian Center for over 40 years. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. On December 7, 1952 in West Virginia, she married James Curtis Wilson.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Bob) Daniels and Patricia (Chuck) Beatty; two grandchildren, Heather and Steven Beatty; one sister in law, Charlene Mauk; and many beloved cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents.
Funeral service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel, 1602 Greenwood Avenue, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 1PM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the chapel from 12:30PM until time of service at 1PM.
