Dwight Shelton

Dwight Shelton, age 68 of Hamilton, passed away at home on Thursday, December 8, 2016. Dwight was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 1, 1948. He was a dedicated member of Fairfield Church of God. Dwight proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict, receiving the Bronze Star. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Dwight retired from CSX Railroad after 30 years of service.

Dwight is survived by his children, Angela (Randy) Scarth and Matthew D. Shelton; his grandchildren, Kinsley, Brooklyn, Jacob and Brady; Yvonne Shelton; his siblings, Donna Bush and Danny Miller; his mother, Dorothy Miller; and numerous other family members and friends. Dwight was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy (Patty) Miller; his loving grandmother, Clara Collins.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 12:00 PM with Br. Salyer officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Fairfield Church of God or Hospice of Hamilton. The family would like to thank Hospice of Hamilton for their personal care and support.
