Dwight Turner, age 54 of Somerville passed away at his home on Monday, April 5, 2010. He was born in Hamilton on November 23, 1955 the son of Elrich and Mary (Howard) Turner. Dwight was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1975 to 1977. He was employed as a clerk for the U. S. Postal Service.

He is survived by three sons, Steven Dwight (Melinda) Turner and John Alan Turner, both of Somerville, and Anthony Dean (Sheri Hensley) Byers of Connersville, Indiana; his mother, Mary Turner of Somerville; two brothers, Mitchell (Christa) Turner and Eldwin Turner, both of Camden; two sisters, Connie Lee (George) Meeks of Huntersville, North Carolina and Vickie (Jack) Couch of West College Corner, Indiana; six grandchildren, Cameron Byers, Anthony Byers, Lydia Turner, Steven Turner, Angelyna Justice Hilliard, and Taylor Hilliard; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Elrich Turner and a sister, Kimberly Turner.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Charles Anderson of Laurel Avenue Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Darrtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
