Earl Andrews, age 77 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 3:50 AM. He was born in Hamilton on July 29, 1931 the son of George Cole and Forest (Reynolds) Andrews. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1955. He was employed as an accountant at Pillsbury for 27 years; he was later employed as a meter reader for the City of Hamilton for 13, years, retiring in 1993. Earl was a member of Amvets Post #1983. On July 4, 1957 in Hamilton, he married Imogene Frazier.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Andrews of Hamilton; five children, Sherry Dellene Dishman, Patrick (Sherry) Andrews, Pamela (Michael) Moon, all of Hamilton, Linda Andrews Stumpf of Marietta, Georgia, and Amy (Michael) Robinson of Hamilton; three sisters, Bernice (Bill) Gadd of Camden, Mildred Gadd of Dublin, Ohio, and Sandra (Wes) Thirkield of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his loving dog, Skip; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joseph Earl Andrews; four brothers, Jack, Robert, Paul, and George Andrews; and two sisters, Shirley Pankowski and Imogene Andrews.
Funeral service will be held at the Hamilton Assembly of God, 1940 West Elkton Road, on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
