Earl E. Denny

Earl E. Denny, age 77 of Fairfield Township passed away in Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 3:17AM. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky on April 21, 1931 the son of Roscoe and Docy (Kirby) Denny. Earl was employed in material control for General Motors/Norwood for 25 years, retiring in 1981. On March 12, 1955 in Richmond, Indiana he was married to Barbara Southard.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Denny of Fairfield Township; one son, Daniel (Becky) Denny of Ross, Ohio; three daughters, Aneta (Michael) Bishop of Hamilton, Debra (Louis) Day of Hamilton, and Denise (Roger Mullins) Denny of Brookville, Indiana; three brothers, Floyd Denny, Sherman Denny, both of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and Roger (Lisa) Denny of Cincinnati; four sisters, Sadie Best of New Carlisle, Ohio, Corina (Fred) McDaniel of Dayton, Frances (Douglas) Smith of Findlay, Ohio, and Jean (Denver) Mink of Lexington, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Shanin (Samson) Varner, Hope and Andrye Denny; and one great-grandchild, Estella. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Tom, George, and Steve Denny.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Casey Southard and Donny Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The family wishes to express a special thanks to all his friends at McDonald’s that he thoroughly enjoyed and also a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Hospice of Hamilton for their loving care and concern.
