Earl Edford Lewis Jr.

Earl E. Lewis Jr., age 90 of Fairfield, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2016. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 17, 1926 to Earl Edford Lewis Sr. and Annis Faye (Felts) Lewis. Earl was a veteran of the United States Marines, serving for 3 years in the 5th division in World War II. On November 1, 1947 he married Ruby Couch. Earl was a printer for Hamilton Autographic Register Company. He was a Charter member of the Fairfield Community Church, taught Sunday school, served on the church board for many years, and one of his greatest enjoyments was singing about his Lord and Savior. He was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.

Earl is survived by the love of his life, Ruby Lewis; his children, Stephen (Carol) Lewis, and Sharon (Albert) Tegge; grandchildren, Sheila (Todd) Brown, Timothy (Christi) Lewis, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Brighton, Daniel (Laura) Tegge, and Carolyn (Zachary) Steever; great-grandchildren, Anna, Emily, Hannah, Noah, Sarah, Eloise, Henry, Amos, and Madeline; his brothers, John Lewis, and Ed Lewis. Earl was preceded in death by his sisters-in-law, Carol Lewis, and Margaret Lewis; and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and funeral service Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Richard Sterwerf officiating. Both will be held at the Fairfield Community Church, 5650 Winton Rd., Fairfield, Ohio. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
