Earl T. "Duke" Mills Jr.

Earl T. "Duke" Mills Jr., age 50 of Trenton passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 3:10 PM. He was born in Hamilton on June 14, 1961 the son of Earl T. Sr. and Myrtle (Wells) Mills. Duke was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had been stationed in Germany. He had been employed by Case Transport. He was a member of Hamilton Christian Center and also attended Calvary Christian Center.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Mills; six children, Paige Hellemn , Peyton Mills, Hannah Mills, and Alyssa Mills, Bobby Baker, and Jamey Baker; his parents, Myrtle and Earl T. Mills Sr.; four sisters, Vicki (Dennis) Newell, Kimberly Mills, Tammy (Doug) Stidham, and Alyce (Bertch) Jackson; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many relatives and friends.

Duke loved music, and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Duke was a talented artist, his drawing of the Bengals team can be seen on ESPN’s highlights of former Bengals player Icky Woods. He had a wonderful sense of humor, his laughter and smile will be missed by all who loved him.

Funeral service will be held at the Hamilton Christian Center, 1940 Millville Avenue, on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Duke’s uncle, Rev. Bobby Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the Earl T. Mills Jr. Memorial Fund at any Huntington Bank.
