Earl Glenn Ramseyer

January 20, 1919 — May 28, 2008

Earl Glenn Ramseyer, age 89 of Hamilton passed away in Tri-County Extended Care Center on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 5:15 AM. He was born in Butler County on January 20, 1919 the son of Gideon and Jesse (Gesser) Ramseyer. Earl was a veteran of World War II with the United States Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945, and was employed by Armco Steel for twenty-five years, retiring in 1981. On July 2, 1949 in Butler County, he was married to Rose Mary Glaab.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Ramseyer of Hamilton; two sons, Stephen (Jane) Ramseyer of Sammamish, Washington and Jeffrey (Jemina) Ramseyer of Abu Dhabi, UAE; one daughter, Stephanie (Mike) Kuschman of Orlando, Florida; one sister, Mildred Ramseyer of Hamilton; twelve grandchildren, Christian, Nathan, Ashton, Fraser, Keira, David, John, Charles, T.J., Kurt, Jackie, and Brad; and three great-grandchildren, Danielle, Reagan, and Veronica. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Gordon, Sylvester, Ralph, Clifford, and Warren Ramseyer; and three sisters, Helen Diefenbacher, Norma Dominges, and Ruth Diefenbacher.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Mike Pucke, Celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. The family requests memorials to St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church.
