Earnest Whitt

Earnest J. Whitt, age 90, of Seven Mile, passed away at his residence, on Friday, April 28, 2017, surrounded by beloved family and friends. He was born in Salyersville, KY, on April 4, 1927, the son of William Wesley and Goldie (Patrick) Whitt. He married his sweetheart, Ferneda Frost, on May 8, 1948. Earnest retired from Pease Windows & Doors. He enjoyed his family, fishing, and gardening, but above all, his heart belonged to the Lord. Earnest was a faithful member of Faith Pentecostal Church. He will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Ferneda; daughter, Dottie (Richard) Hurchanik; granddaughter, Terra (Eric) Combs; grandson, Eric (Nicole) Wilder; great-granddaughters, Corrie Wilder, Elaina Wilder, and Abigail Combs; and great-grandson Easton Wilder; As well as, many special Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mae Richardson, Florence Davis and Thelma Keeton; brothers, Freelen, Richmond, Lawton, Orlie, Luther, Dorsey and John Riley Whitt.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 12:00PM at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave with Pastors Rick Witt and Richard Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Penecostal Church.
