Eddie "Mick" F. Mcdonald

Eddie "Mick" F. McDonald Jr., age 80 of Hamilton, passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Mick was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 20, 1937 to Eddie F. McDonald Sr. and Mary Ruth Walker McDonald. He graduated from Hanover High School, Hanover Township and attended business school. Mick married Shirley Hurst on November 2, 1957 in Hamilton, Ohio. Mick taught guitar for 12 years, worked for the Butler County Auditor’s Office, involved in 4-H, trained horses and gave riding lessons to many generations of horse people. Mick was also a member of the American Quarter Horse and Ohio Quarter Horse Associations.

Mick is survived by his wife, Shirley McDonald; daughter, Toni Jo (Billy Keen) Moore; son, Eddie Ray (Elizabeth) McDonald; grandchildren, Darren (Kerri) McDonald, Daniel McDonald, Erica Poplin, Joshua Moore and Brittney Moore; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Karsen and Kash McDonald, Cami and Brooklyn McDonald, Aiden, Ava and Auna Burns; siblings, Karl McDonald and Emy Lou Courtney. Mick was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Jane Kraft and Mary Ann Tobergta.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Brain Trauma Foundation.
