Edith Brock

Edith Brock, age 89 of Hamilton, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Edithwas born in Laurel County, Kentucky on March 22, 1927 to Chester and Maude (McNew) Owens. She was a dedicated member of New Harvest United Baptist Church. Edith enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family. On August 11, 1945, she married the love of her life and best friend, Charlie Brock.

Edith is survived by her children, Charlene (Abraham) Bowling, Charlotte (Bill) Allen, Chuck (Audrey) Brock, Debby (Jack Betz) Brock; her grandchildren, Abe (Jo), Amy, Heather, Joe, Charlie, Scott (Misti), Jamie, Stephanie (Nick), Dawn, and Danielle (Ryan); 18 great grandchildren with one on the way, and 4 great-great grandchildren; her brother, Steve Sullivan Jr.; her special sister-in-law, Lillie Schooley; her special caregiver, Wilma Lehner; and numerous other family members and friends. Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charlie Brock; her son, Kenneth Brock; her granddaughter, Kathy; her Brothers, Roy, Ray, and Eddie Owens, and her parents. The family would like to thank Dr. Harry Davin, Hospice of Miami Valley and all their caregivers, especially Nurse Dusty Fugate and Aide Jessica Benison.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Elder Clyde Schackelford officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
