Edna L. Arnold

Edna L. Arnold, age 84 of Hamilton passed away at Huntington Court on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:32 PM. She was born in Hamilton on July 5, 1926 the daughter of Wilford and Frances Murphy. Edna was employed as a receptionist at Fort Hamilton Hospital for fourteen years, retiring in 1985. She has been a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God since 1938. On June 21, 1947 in Hamilton she married Vernon E. Arnold who preceded her in death in 1985.

She is survived by three daughters, Melody (Oscar) Fruth of Jacksonburg, Becky Goosey of Hamilton, and Brenda (Mike) Cooper of Hamilton; one brother, Ray (Yolanda) Murphy of Camden; one sister, Doris (Cliff) Myers of Seven Mile; five grandchildren, Jason and Jeremy Fruth, Stephen (Carla) Castator; Tracy (Tony) Daniels, and Elizabeth Cooper; and two great-grandchildren, Tre Sutton and Keithen Castator. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bobbie Jean Murphy.

Funeral service will be held at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton-Glendale Road, on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ron Medley and Pastor Barry Clardy of Princeton Pike Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
