Edna D. Kolb

Edna D. Kolb, age 92 of Hamilton passed away at Glen Meadows on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 12:05 PM. She was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on June 18, 1916 the daughter of Billie and Mary (Black) Morgan. In 1934 in London, Kentucky she married Charlie Reed, and he preceded her in death in 1941; in 1943 in Hamilton, she was married to Conley Roach, and he preceded her in death in 1980; in 1986 in Hamilton, she married Earl Kolb, and he preceded her in death in 1988.

She is survived by four children, Kenneth (Nadeen) Reed of Hamilton, Paul (Jean) Reed of Mason, Roy Douglas Roach of Ft. Kent, Maine, and Linda Fisher of Hamilton; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Berlin Reed; a son-in-law, Dr. James A. Fisher; five brothers, Virgil, Vernon, Elmer, Herman, and Clarence Morgan; and two sisters, Dona Karr and Ethel Polly.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Walt Philpot and Rev. Neil Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Glen Meadows for all their care and support.
