Edna E. Maggard

Edna E. Maggard, age 75 of Hamilton passed away at her home on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 10:20 PM. She was born in Wayne Township on October 28, 1933 the daughter of James and Victoria (Browning) Lewis. Edna was employed at Bonanza Dairy Bar and Irene’s Pizza, and was a member of New Miami Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughters, Naomi Brewer and Linda (Eddie) Cochran; grandchildren, Michelle (Steve Nelson) Anglin, Charles (Cathie) Brewer, and William "Jr." Ward; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Taylor, and Caleb Anglin, and Zachary Brewer; devoted friends Bill Ward and Wanda Kuykendoll; two loving dogs, Missy and Sissy; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob and Vernon Lewis; and sisters Louise Parsley and Naomi Byrd.

Funeral service will be held at the New Miami Church of Christ on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Randy Dodd officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Edna’s family extends a special thank you to New Miami Church of Christ, Interim Health Care, Hospice of Cincinnati, and her nurse’s aides Marva Ferguson and Julie Pridemore. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Miami Church of Christ.
