Edward F. Allen

Edward F. Allen, age 84 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 6:10 AM. He was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on July 24, 1923 the son of Claude and Leona (White) Allen. Edward was employed as an assembler at Mosler Safe Company for forty years, retiring in 1985. He was a Kentucky Colonel and avid guitar player who especially enjoyed gospel music.

He is survived by two sons, James (Beatrice) Allen of Somerville and Lloyd (Barbara) Allen of Hamilton; four daughters, Phyllis (James) Robbins of West Chester, Karen (Bob) Newton, Sharon Whitt, and Lora Allen, all of Fairfield; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Allen of Ross; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and his aunt, Bertha Forbes of Berea, Kentucky; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Edward Allen and Donald Allen; three brothers, Fred, Charlie, and Harrison Allen; and a sister, Sarah Forsythe; a grandson and a great-grandson.
