Edward Eugene Brock

Edward Eugene Brock, age 79 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, September, 18, 2010 at 10:55 AM. He was born in Wallens Creek, Kentucky on November 14, 1930 the son of Bige and Ethel (Morgan) Brock. Gene was employed in the shipping department at General Motors for 22 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Richmond Road Baptist Church. On June 11, 1951 in Jellico, Tennessee he married Della M. Young.

He is survived by his wife, Della M. Brock of Hamilton; one son, Greg (Lisa) Brock of Hamilton; one sister, Sue Morrisy of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Jim (Sharon) Eversole of Hamilton; two grandsons, Brian (Sarah Mullinix) Brock of Hamilton and Kyle Brock of Nashville, Tennessee; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Brock; a special niece and nephew, Kathy Kane and Jeff Lincks; and numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Eversole; his father, Bige Brock; one sister, Naomi Lincks; and three brothers, Merle, R.C., and Larry Eversole.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Paul Tillett and Rev. Mark Wurzelbacher officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
