Edward E. Larkin Jr.

Edward E. Larkin Jr., age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Monday, July 28, 2025. Edward was born in Paducah, Kentucky on February 13, 1940, to Edward E. Larkin Sr. and Mildred Baumann Larkin. Ed Graduated from Hamilton Catholic High School in 1958 and the University of Notre Dame in 1962. On June 30, 1962, in Hamilton, he married Karen Hesselbrock. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1962 – 1964. Ed was the former owner of Ed Larkin Motors and Rose Chevrolet.

Ed is survived by his loving wife Karen Larkin; his son in law, Tim Gonya; his children, Michael Larkin (Leanna), Nan Kuhlman, Edward Larkin (Amy), Kelly Woodward (Jeff), Ryan Larkin (Lily), Kari Espel (Patrick); 26 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; one brother Jim Larkin; his in laws, Gail Larkin and Mike Capella; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward E. Larkin Sr. and Mildred Larkin; one daughter, Lisa Gonya; his son in law, Matthew Kuhlman; his siblings, Mary Lou, Sissy, Nancy (Ken), Micki, and Jack; his in laws, Eps and Mildred, Bob and Audrey, and Rog and Joan; and one nephew, Dave Frazier.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington St., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jim Elsbernd of St. Joseph Catholic Church celebrant. Private burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Joseph Consolidated School Auditorium. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Consolidated School Windows Fund, St. Joseph Catholic Church Maintenance Fund, or Stephen T. Badin High School Tuition Assistance.
