Edward Rocco Just

Edward Rocco Just, age 53 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, September 23, 2010. He was born in Hamilton on December 16, 1956 the son of Walter E. and Carmella (Iezzoni) Just. Ed was a graduate of Badin High School and Miami University. Ed was formerly employed at the Hamilton Municipal Airport, previously known as Hogan Airport, was vice-president of Lauralex Homes, and was currently employed as the club manager at the Elks Country Club. He was a member of the BPOE Lodge #93, where he served as Exalted Ruler in 2006. Ed served on many committees, including ENF, Flag Day, Memorial Day, and Drug Awareness Youth Activities. He was most active with the veteran’s committee, as he had a special place in his heart for veterans. Ed was also a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Knights of Columbus, and an avid golfer.

He is survived by his mother, Carmella Just; two sisters, Patricia (Bill) Gerould and Rosemary Saurber; a nephew, Alex Saurber; a niece, Lauren (Dylan) Haggard; and a number of beloved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 3:30 PM. Cremation has been held. A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held after the services at the Elks Country Club, 4444 Hamilton-Middletown Road, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Hospice of Cincinnati, or Badin High School.
