E.L. "Smitty" Smith

E.L. "Smitty" Smith, age 74 of Hamilton passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2016. E.L.was born in Manchester, Kentucky on July 6, 1942 to Isaac and Clora Bee Smith. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an employee of Hamilton Fisher Body, and transferred to Marion, IN. He enjoyed going to the horse track, playing cards and spending time with his family

E.L. is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cordelia "Dee" "AKA Hun" Smith; his children, Angela Parker, Lisa (Kevin) Ballew, Steve Smith, Goldie Smith, Leonard (Laura) Phillips, Chrissy (Mike) Hollandsworth, and Alyssa (Scott) Henderson; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. E.L. was preceded in death by his daughters, Clora Mitchell and Penny Smith, and his parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Paul Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
