Elaine M. Bayer

Elaine M. Bayer, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at Birchwood Care Center on Friday, May 22, 2015. She was born in Cincinnati on March 2, 1932 to Jay and Mary (Walsh) Johnson. Elaine was a domestic engineer and just promoted to the Serenity Prayer Leader in Heaven. She was a longstanding, faith-filled member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Elaine was the beloved wife of 44 years to the late Joseph Bayer, loving mother of Teresa (Max) Bayer-Iltzsch, Jay (Sophie) Bayer, Tim (Kris) Bayer, Greg Bayer, Amy (Joe) Weidenbach, caring grandmother of Joseph (Katie), Julia, John, Olivia, Jacob, Timothy, Kate, Ellie, Davis, Gabrielle, Joseph, Charles, Henry, Grace, John, and Adrienne, dear sister of Charles (Colleen) Johnson, the late Daniel Johnson and sister-in-law of Dorothy Johnson. Elaine will be missed by many, especially the Gatlinburg Group and her card playing friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington St., on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Fr. James Elsbernd officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave Hamilton, 45013.
