Elaine A. Emenaker

Elaine A. Emenaker, age 90 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 9:15 PM. She was born in Hamilton on August 13, 1921 the daughter of Harry and Elsie (Hake) Wolke. Elaine was employed in the design department at Pease Woodwork for ten years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was active in the Altar Rosary Society, Sterling Silvers, and as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital. Elaine was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed doing crafts and gardening with family and friends. On October 12, 1939 in Hamilton, she married Raymond Emenaker, and he preceded her in death in 1986.

She is survived by four children, Judy (Phillip) Stines, Ralph (Linda D.) Emenaker, Linda (Bill) Clark, and Pat (Dan) Gundler, all of Hamilton; two sisters, Naomi (James) O’Hara and Claire Bauer, both of Hamilton; ten grandchildren, Donna (Don) Haverland, Barbara Gibson, Scott Clark, Doug Clark, Jim (Krystn) Clark, Kelly (John) Stephenson, Brian (Gretchen) Emenaker, Jonathan (Angela) Gundler, Craig (Lauren) Gundler, and Danielle (Keith) Long; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Hank, and Ronnie Wolke; and two sisters, Dorothy Duggins and Laverne Wolpert.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington Street, on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sternberg, his staff, and Hospice of Southwest Ohio for all their loving care and support.
