Elbert Goble Lee Garrett, age 61 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM. He was born in Perry County, Kentucky on March 20, 1949 the son of Elbert and Laura (Campbell) Garrett.
He is survived by his mother, Laura Garrett of Ross; a brother, George Edward (Helen) Garrett of Fairfield Township; five sisters, Shirley (Mack) Pratt of Pierceton, Indiana, Lena Faye Sebastian of Combs, Kentucky, Blanche (Wilgus) Collins of Hamilton, Ruth (Sidney) Isaacs of Ross, and Sally (Tom) Collins of Oxford; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and three brothers, John, Roy, and Roger Garrett.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Eddie Schwarberg of the First Baptist Church of Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon
