Elbert "Bert" Ledford Jr.

Elbert "Bert" Ledford Jr., age 92, passed away at home on Thursday, May 21, 2015. He was born in Manchester, KY on May 4, 1923 to Elbert and Maude (Hacker) Ledford. Elbert was employed at Butler County Environmental Services. He was a member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Worship Center. Bert served in WWII as a SSgt with the 102nd infantry division.

He is survived by his son, Bert Michael (Phyllis) Ledford, his sister, Teresa (Wendell) Settles, 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Morgan Ledford, his daughter Teresa (Jack) Walter, two brothers, Chester (June) Ledford and Donald (Jean) Ledford, three sisters, Veda (Leonard) Smallwood, Mae (Bob) Lasley, and Stella (Frank) Andrews, and his parents.

Graveside service will be held at Darrtown Cemetery on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11 am with Pastor Ron Small officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com
