Eli Sandlin Jr.

Eli Sandlin Jr., age 67 of Hamilton, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, December 18, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on December 30, 1947 to Eli and America (McDaniel) Sandlin. Eli was a truck driver for 21 years, retiring from Welsh Sand and Gravel in 2014. On June 6, 2009 in Hamilton he married Sheila Allen. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Army from 1966 – 1974.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Sandlin; children, Bobby (Amy) Allen, and Rhonda (Michael) Bryan; siblings, Floyd (Gracie) Sandlin, Carson (Sue) Sandlin, Larry (Yvonne) Sandlin, and Alma Jean Brown; grandchildren, Jacob, Libby, Madison, Morgan, Kaiden, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Sandlin; a sister, Velma Sandlin; a special niece, Diane Davison; and his parents.

Funeral service will be held at Timberhill Baptist Church, 144 Timber Hill Dr., on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the church.
