Elizabeth Skinner, age 98 of Hamilton, passed away at Bradford Place on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Elizabeth was born in Breathitt Co., Kentucky on February 8, 1923 to William Bowling and Ruth (Asher) Bowling. On March 19, 1953 in New Miami, she married James “Jimmie” Skinner, and he preceded her in death in 1979. Elizabeth was an avid gardener, enjoyed feeding the birds, and was also a member of the Laurel Ave. Church of Christ for many years.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving son, James (Jennifer) Skinner; one sister, Grace Sims; a beloved niece, Robin (Jimmy) McWhorter; her nephews, Jay Sims and Fred Bowling Jr.; and two other nieces, Lynn Mills and Linda Houston. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, William Bowling and Ruth Bowling; and her siblings, Fred Bowling, Greene Bowling, Lee Bowling, Walter Bowling, and William Bowling Jr.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park.
