Ella Mae Depew

Ella Mae Depew, age 69 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 1:55 PM. She was born in Mishawaka, Indiana on April 9, 1940 the daughter of William and Florence (Taylor) Lindy. Ella Mae was employed at Al Couch Farm Market for 16 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of the Berean Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children, Dwanna Depew of Hamilton, Carla Estep of Hamilton, and Bill (Debbie) Depew of West Elkton; two brothers, Ira Lindy, Sr. of Statesboro, Georgia and Richard Lindy of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Tommy (Stephanie) Anglin, Charlie Estep, Brandi (Nick) Perkins, Traci (Keith) VanOss, and Shayne (Lara) Meadows; five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Ella, Anna, Emilie, and Parker; her best friend, Lawanna Roberts; former spouse, Roger Depew of Hamilton; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Bert (Sonny) Stephens, Ray (Lydia) Depew, Bud (Sue) Depew, Junior Depew, Shirley (Bob) Harris, and Judy Conner; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Clayton Estep; three brothers, Glen, Jimmy, and Ray Lindy; and sister-in-law, Jean Lindy; and brother-in-law Stanley (JoAnn) Patrick.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steven Botts of the Berean Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Chetna Mital, the nursing staff of Fort Hamilton Hospital, and Hospice of Southwest Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hospice of Southwest Ohio.
